Merry Christmas everyone!

Hello and Merry Christmas (w/ Happy New Year) !! Hope you all had a wonderful time!

We just wanted to give a little update on what we did and throw in some pics for you guys!

First, we were able to have my lovely sister and hubby and cute Adam over for Christmas! They came and stayed from the Friday before Christmas until Christmas day. We had so much fun! We went shopping, ate, talked, ate, watched a Christmas movie, ate, went to grandma's, and REALLY ate! We had such a great time just relaxing together. :) We also were able to spend some time with Jeff's parents on Christmas Eve which was so nice. :) Here's some pics -

Then, Jeff's parents, Jeff and I went to see all of their family in Binghamton, NY. It was such a great trip and we were able to see so many wonderfully sweet people! It was so much fun. I'm truly thankful for our wonderful families! Here's some pics -

Wedding date update

Hello Everyone!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Me and Jeff have a bit of news. We are actually going to be postponing our wedding date for another year or so. So, right now the date is up in the air but we are sure that it will not be next summer. We have been praying about this and different things have come up. God has truly been so wonderful to us!

Some more news:
- Sarah and Stephen and Adam will be hopefully moving to Pittsburgh in February of next year! We are just so excited! Some more exciting news is that they are having another baby and the due date is when our wedding was supposed to happen - June 28th! We are just so excited! God has truly blessed - check out their website (under friends - Sarah and Stephen).

Thanks so much everyone for your prayers and encouragement! We are so thankful that God has placed everyone in our lives. Some reminder verses that have been very precious to me lately are in Phil. 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

I'll try to keep the posts up! I didn't realize it has been so long since I last posted! Once I get some more pics I'll definitely plop them on here. Love you guys!

Weekend in Hershey!

Hello everyone! Well, me and my parents and Sarah, Stephen and the absolutely adorable Adam all met in Hershey PA last weekend! It was so wonderful! We truly had the best time together and I'm so thankful for the wonderful family God has blessed me with! We were able to stay at a very nice little timeshare place that Stephen's parents gave to us to use (so nice of them!). Then we went hiking at this little park and went shopping at the outlets, grabbed some food here and there and just relaxed in the room. It was so much fun! Here are some pics of our time together. Here some pictures from our Jeff's birthday weekend (his birthday was last Wed - 10/24)! On Friday some friends from Jeff's college came out to Jeff's parents house for a little birthday celebration! Then on Sat. we went to a halloween party hosted by a place Jeff and I both worked. It was so much fun to see some of the people we worked with. What a great weekend!

Fun in OH!!

Here are a few pics of our trip to OH to see our dear Family! We stayed with Uncle Steve and Aunt Cheri (Thanks you guys!) and got to see Karen, Scott, Kennedy, Cole (who are truly adorable by the way) and Grandmother! It was so much fun. Here's some pics from when we went to the Creation Museum in Kentucky. This place was so truly amazing. We would recommend it for everyone! Also, Aunt Cheri took us to all the Half Price Book Stores in the Cincinnatti area which was like a dream come true for us (especially Jeff!). Love you guys!

Prayer

Hi Everyone! If you think of it, could you please pray for Jeff as one of his dear friends passed away last Sunday. God has been showing him many things through it and he can praise God despite what happened but if you could hold him in your prayers I know we'd appreciate it. Thanks so much for all your encouragement and prayers.

Well, where does one begin to share inexpressible joy? Sometimes I often wonder how my life became so amazing and I remember almost immediately, Romans 11:36- "For from Him and to Him and through Him are all things..."
I hope that verse always remains in my mind, so that i may live and know that all Control rests in the sovereignty of God, and through trusting in Christ alone. I must openly confess to you who might read this that i am an inherently selfish and self-focused sinner. Please keep me in your prayers that i may serve Rachel as Christ serves His Church, always with Her best in mind, for the deeper love between Them.
I would also like to share a portion of a prayer written by Augustine, for the encouragement of all who may be reading this,

"Our hearts are restless until they find rest in Thee."

Please remember that. Attemplting to find rest or comfort in anyone or anything else will breed nothing but futility and pain.

Jeff and Adam!

Hello everyone! I just think this is the cutest picture of Jeff and Adam so I thought I'd stick it on here. :) We are doing well and I guess taking a break from wedding planning for the time being (except that I started our powerpoint presentation for the reception and it's so much fun to put together!). Jeff is working very hard at school, getting things done! His classes are very difficult this semester (he has Greek - one among many that I would do TERRIBLE at!). I'm just working and taking a paralegal class as well as training for a half marathon in the beginning of January! I'm so excited! So, that's a little update on our lives at the moment! Hope you are all doing well! We love you!

Another Fun Day!

Hello! I wanted to give a little more wedding info while you're here:

- The wedding colors in case you couldn't tell will be pink and brown! I'm so excited!
- I got my wedding dress two weeks ago (thank you Mom and Dad!) with my dearest sister and she was also able to get her maid of honor's dress (which looks absolutely stunning on her by the way!)
- Jeff and I are planning to write our vows. I'm certainly praying about this one as I know Jeff is the one with the gift for words, not me!
- The wedding church and reception are both located in Monroeville, Pennsylvania

That's enough of that for now.

I also just wanted to give a shout out to our dear parents and say thank you so much for such a wonderful weekend. As most of you know, Saturday was my birthday and so I thought I'd throw in this picture of me and Jeff in front of the cake his mom made (which was absolutely amazing!!!!). I'm so thankful for the parents God has given us. We were able to spend the afternoon with my parents and the evening with Jeff's and God has blessed us tremendously with such loving and caring parents. We are both so thankful!

Thanks to my dear sis (Sarah) and her hubby (Stephen), Jeff and I have joined the blogworld! :) We will post updates on the wedding and some news and info for you!!

To start, we just want to say thank you so much to all our family especially and our dear friends who have been such a blessing in our lives. God has used you all tremendously and we are SOOO thankful for you!!

Here's a little tidbit of wedding news:

1. The date is set for next year, June 28, 2008

2. We already have the church and reception place which we will post in a little while with directions, etc.

3. WE ARE SOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to try and post some pics of us that Jeff's mom (my mom too :)) took for our engagement photos. Also, there is one that my mom took of the fam when my dearest sis and her hubby and the little star Adam came along with Jeff's mom and dad which was a real treat. Hope they show up and you enjoy.
